Hey guys! I was asked by some of my favorite blogging Instagram gals to take part in a blog challenge. A thrifted item $30 or less that you have repurposed or upcycled. Of course I said yes! This is my life right? At the end of this post I will list all the gals taking part in this monthly challenge and invite you to take part as well! Link up your post so we can see it! I can’t wait to show you this revamp of an entertainment center play kitchen!
While playing on the internet one day I came across an image of an old entertainment center someone had upcycled into a play kitchen. I immediately fell in love and when my daughter asked me for a pink play kitchen I knew just what I wanted to create. As luck would have it, someone at my husbands work was tossing out an old entertainment center for FREE!
I set to work by removing the glass and cutting out a hole for the sink. I knew I was going to replace the backing with bead board I had left over from a bathroom remodel so I removed that as well. We painted it pink (color picked out by the princess).
Painted the Kitchen Pink
The faucet was junk sale score. I turned one of the doors around to look more like an oven door and painted a cooktop. Love the cute little knobs we added.
Here she is completed entertainment center play kitchen and in my daughters room. We have spent many hours cooking up some gourmet meals! She loves it and all it cost me was a time and a little paint! If you’ve done anything similar I would love to see it!
