When we first moved to our farmhouse, I knew I wanted to purchase a slipcovered couch and chair for the downstairs living room. I searched online for 2 months before I finally ordered my furniture. You can read all about them on this post.
However, I found some really great pieces that others may prefer instead! I will share with you some of my favorite slipcovered pieces I found while searching. My reason for wanting slipcovered furniture is because of stains and messes. Between my husband, kiddo and dog, there seems to be a lot of them. I wanted furniture that was comfortable and fit my style but also pieces I could easily clean.
The couches we have now were inexpensive and purchased from a small discount furniture store in town and the were comfortable and brown, which hid stains easily. However, there was no good way to wash them. Because of the cheap build on them, the back pillows were stuffed instead of cushions and I knew if I removed the stuffing and tried to put it back in after washing, it would look horrible.
I could have gone with a darker color to help hide the stains on my slipcovered couches but I love the look of lighter furniture so this option gave me the best of both worlds. Light but easy to clean. If you’re on a budget like me you know that these pieces can be expensive. I think they are well worth the money but so many were out of my price range, but I did find some really affordable pieces with good reviews.
