If you follow me on my social media channels like Instagram, Facebook or Youtube then you know that I have been changing up some stuff a bit. I have been sharing more fashion and lifestyle than normal. You guys seem to love it! So, I wanted to start sharing those on the blog with you as well! After an Instagram live last night where I shared my skin care routine, you all asked for links to what I was using! Here they are!!

The very first step for me is an oil face wash and I use this one by Burts Bees. It’s gentle and removes so much more make up than just face wash alone! I just wet my face and apply two pumps of the oil to my face then rinse and follow with my face wash!
Step 1: Oil Wash
I recently switched my face wash to this one by Cerave. It’s moisturizing and feels amazing. This is more of a cleansing cream and it does not foam up. If you someone that needs to have that foaming action, this one may not be for you. I also use this wash when using my clarisonic Mia 2. Gentle enough for anyones skin care routine.
Step 2: Face Wash
Two to three time a week you need to exfoliate. I use my Mia 2 for this and I have for years. It is literally the best thing I ever did for my skin. It comes with many different heads that you can switch out. It’s waterproof which makes it great for the shower while your conditioner is on. Its so easy to add into your skin care routine! Has a rechargeable battery and it even has a little built in timer that lets you know when its time to switch to a different part of the face. It takes about two minutes total and I will never be without this thing again. I just use two pumps of face wash in the bristles and turn it on and go! You will be shocked at the amount of makeup this gets off your face even after you’ve washed.
Step 3: Exfoliating
After exfoliating, I like to use a toner. This is great for your pores and skins texture. The one I have been using recently is the Cerave hydrating micellar water. It doesn’t burn and has quickly become my new favorite. It’s also not super drying which toners can sometimes tend to be.
Step 4: Toning
Moisturizing is so important for your skin. Finding the right one can be difficult. I actually started using the Cerave (sensing a theme here?) skin renewing cream at night. It’s a little thick at first but does soak in after a few minutes. It’s super gentle on the skin and these products have not broke me out at all! Always a fear of mine. Just know that every skin type is different and when you switch skin care routines, small break outs can occur. Especially if you’re new to exfoliating!
Step 5: Moisturizing
The final step in my face wash and exfoliating routine is an oil. I know what you’re thinking. Trust me, I was hesitant as well but oh my gosh you guys!! Freaking game changer!! Just after a week of adding this step to my skin care routine has made a WORLD of difference in my skin. You know that I never recommend something I don’t actually LOVE and I do LOVE this oil. It’s made by Pacifica and has rose oil and blue tansy. The smell is a little strong at first but quickly dissipates. It smells mostly like roses. I use this on my face and neck and it’s magical. It’s oily and takes a bit to soak in but by the time I ACTUALLY make it to bed (you know, after picking up toys, dishes, laundry.. mom life) it’s all soaked in.
Step 6: Oil
If you’re someone that wants a more simple skin care routine or prefer an all natural route another product I have been loving is by Alaffia. They use ethically traded virgin coconut oil in their face wash and moisturizers. The products smell amazing and have a great price point. The funds from their products go to help with projects in Togo, West Africa. They provide bikes, benches, fund births, plant trees, build schools and provide glasses. I think they are an amazing company and I love supporting companies that give back. Exfoliating is still a must but the Mia 2 works great with these products as well!
Skin Routine for Better Skin!!
I plan to video this skin care routine and put it up on my Youtube channel soon! Still trying to figure out how to edit. I am not the best at that yet!! If you guys have any products you’d like for me to try or ones you’ve been loving, let me know in the comments! I always love to hear what works for you guys!!
