The other day I realized I had not decorated for fall in a while. We are on a tight budget this year due to farm expenses so I had to shop what I already had! I just wanted simple fall table decor that would take me from Halloween into Thanksgiving.
Fall Inspired Table Decor
I usually shop at the antique mall where I have my booth when I take items up or rework my booth. This past week I found an adorable vintage table cloth for $6! All cotton and I can use it as a throw! The Chargers I got at a thrift store a while back and the plates I have had forever!
The white linen napkins and napkin rings were gifts at our wedding! I plan to actually use them this year. That’s right! They have been hiding in a drawer for over 10 years because I was scared to use them. Why do we do that? Buy something we love and then put it away for safe keeping? Or am I the only one? Please don’t say I am the only one.
The white chairs I scored off Craigslist and the table was given to my by my best friend. It belonged to her grandmother who I loved dearly and when she left this earth, they asked me if I would like to have it. The rug came from a local outlet store and was super affordable.
The wood bowl and the pitcher in the center as well as the small linen runner they sit on also came from the local antique shop. The barley twist candle sticks were a goodwill score for $2! I snatched those up as fast as I could when I saw them!
Simple Fall Table Decor
The silverware came from a huge bag I found at an estate sale and I also rarely use these! I need to be better about using what I have and stop keeping it waiting for the right moment! Every day is a blessing and the should be celebrated!
Of course what is simple fall table decor if it doesn’t have a least a few pumpkins? These came from my local grocer store for $5! So the grand total of my decor cost me $11. You can use what you already have to display a beautiful setting and can even use nature found outside! Wild flowers, leaves, stems… so much to choose from that would work beautifully and not cost you a dime!
I had so much fun putting this together and would love to see your table settings! Tag me on Instagram! You can find me here! Laura Stewart Blog Instagram
